Machine shop vandalized:
An attempted break-in at a machine shop in rural Dent north of Little McDonald Lake was reported around 8:11 a.m. Thursday.
A garage window was broken to gain entry, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department. The suspects looked through the machinery, but nothing appears to be missing.
Two suspects were identified later in the day and admitted to the break-in. In lieu of criminal charges, the suspects agreed to pay for damages.
Teen caught with tobacco:
A 17-year old male was caught with chewing tobacco on Fergus Falls High School property. The youth was charged with minor in possession of tobacco products, according to Fergus Falls Police.
Misdemeanor charge for spare parts:
Hamza Hasimovic, 42, Fargo, appeared in Otter Tail County District Court March 12 and was charged with gross misdemeanor theft. No date has been set for his next appearance.
Hasimovic is accused of conspiring with another on March 11 to take radiators, car batteries and copper tubing from a property in Pelican Rapids. Value of the items taken is in excess of $500.
