Mickelson named Little Eight's MVP
Three Hillcrest players make LEC all-conference squad

Big Kurtis Mickelson of Ashby has been named the Most Valuable Player of the Little Eight Conference for the 2007-8 boys’ basketball season.
The 6-9 junior center had a multitude of double-doubles for Ashby during the season.
Mickelson was also named to the all-conference team along with teammates Tyson Langlie and Theron Rein.
Other all-conference picks were Battle Lake’s Brady Cameron, Brandon-Evansville’s Kyle Bruns and Tom Sullivan, Battle Lake’s Brady Cameron and Burgee Boyum, Hillcrest’s Cody Aasness, Tim Erickson and Joey Battillo, Parkers Prairie’s Andrew McDaniel and Thomas Alton, Rothsay’s Jordan Aaberg and Underwood’s Dylan and Tyler Meyer.
Parkers Prairie head man Jeff Kalpin, who skippered the Panthers to the conference championship, was named Coach of the Year.
