BRAINERD — Trevor Gervais fired a 76 Wednesday in the windy Brainerd Invitational at The Pines.
Gervais was two strokes off the medalist pace set by Alexandria’s Casey Vangness and Brainerd’s Tyler Monday.
Chaska won the meet with a 311 team round. Edina and Moorhead challenged with rounds of 316 and 317. The Otters shot a sixth-place round of 328.
Mike Tuel shot an 80 for the Otters while Allen Sellner fired an 83, Derek Smith carded an 89, Nick Risbrudt shot a 91 and Lucas Gervais came up with a 93.
“I like were the team is at right now,” said Fergus Falls head coach Ben Jurgens. “We took sixth out of 20 teams and the boys were not pleased with their finish, they expect more from themselves.”
