County board approves sale of three land parcels
Published Thursday, May 8, 2008
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has secured — with county board approval — an option to purchase 4.33 acres of property from the Friends of the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center, Inc., of Fergus Falls. The agency, with an office near Fergus Falls, also secured two habitat easements to protect wetlands and uplands.
The properties are located in Section 33 in Dane Prairie Township and Section 19 in Eagle Lake Township.
On Tuesday the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners approved the three requests for acquisition of the properties. Making the request, before the county board, was Don Kleven, U.S. Fish and Wildlife senior realty specialist, Fergus Falls office.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Post a comment
