Tuel fires hole-in-one

FARGO — Fergus Falls’ Mike Tuel aced No. 4 at Edgewood Friday and the Fergus Falls Otters shot a 296 for runner-up honors in the Fargo North Invitational.
The first day of competition in the 13-team meet saw Tuel using an 8-iron to record the first hole-in-one of his career. The ace on the 160-yard hole was part of a sizzling 69 round that left Tuel one stroke off the pace of first day medalist Nick Osgaard of Moorhead.
The Spuds shot a team round of 292 while the Otters were second at 296 and Fargo South was third at 297.
Allen Sellner and Mitch Thorsen both shot 75s for Fergus while Lucas Gervais recorded a 77, Trevor Gervais carded a 78 and Taylor Shuck shot an 82.
Trojans set pace at Osakis
OSAKIS — The Ortonville Trojans shot a 358 team round to win the Osakis Invite.
Henning was third with a 370 followed by Underwood with a 376. Ashby-Evansville was sixth with a 286.
Zach McNally and Tanner Drewlow of CACGB both shot 80s for medalist honors.
Henning’s Ryan McGregor shot an 84 while Underwood’s Mitch Johansen and Ashby-Evansville’s Devin Johnson shot rounds of 88.
