Johnson powers Arrows over Rebels

ASHBY — Amanda Johnson slugged two home runs Monday as the Ashby Arrows crushed Eagle Valley 10-3 for their ninth victory in 12 decisions.
Johnson went 4-for-4 at the plate and drove in thee runs. Teammate Andrea Moe was 3-for-3 at the plate with two ribbies. Hayley Barry and Tonia Fitzsim-mons had two hits each as the Arrows out-hit the Rebels 12-6.
Danielle Holcomb fanned 11 batters in picking up the win.
“The girls played a great game today on both sides of the ball,” said Ashby head coach Joey Andreasen.
The Arrows will travel to Wheaton Tuesday.

FRAZEE — Amanda Snyder went 3-for-4 with two doubles and six RBIs as the Yellowjackets pounded the Hornets.
Abbi Paulseth and Mallory Malikowski both scored four times for Perham.
Kim Brill and Sara Formanek came up with two hits apiece in the victory. Tara Sailer doubled and drove in two runs.
Malikowski chalked up the pitching victory.
Jill Walters’ Perham club play a road game Tuesday with Wadena-Deer Creek.
