Comets capture three victories

ORTONVILLE — The Hillcrest Comets took firsts in three events Thursday in the Pheasant Conference track and field meet.
Michael Christenson ran the 1,600 in a winning time of 4:59.
Micah Boyum, Sueng-Ho Lee, Haeyeon Yang and Byung Yoo combined to win the 4x800 with a time of 9:35.
Cari Jo Hohncke had a winning 16-1 leap in the long jump.
Aaron Christenson was second in the 100 and 200 dash events with times of 11.89 and 24.54.
Yoo, Lee and Yang teamed up with Michael Christenson for a runner-up time of 3:57 in the 4x400.
Andrew Hohncke was second in the high, long and triple jumps with leaps of 5-6, 17-8 and 37-2.
Yoo picked up a second place finish in the 800 with a 2:10.
Cari Jo Hohncke had a runner-up finish in the triple jump. Rhoda Christenson was second in the 800 with a 2:35 and third in the 1,600.
Kayla Castro ran the 3,200 with a time of 13:40 for a second.
