Funeral home has operated since 1907

Published 12:00 p.m., October 7, 2008

Gayle and Larry Belmont, who operate Belmont Funeral Home in Henning, want patrons to know that they are in tune with a very important time in the lives of families.

“We want people who come to us to consider this establishment as an extension of their own home,” Larry Belmont said. “Their comfort is of paramount concern to us.”

Since 1907 the Belmont Funeral Home has provided funeral services based on the following principles.

• Each family is treated as if it were “our own.”

• The deceased individual is treated with impeccable care.

• No family's perspective or situation is ever prejudged.

• All pricing is completely straightforward and nothing is hidden.

• No one is denied service because of inability to pay.

• All information gathered is held in strict confidence.

“These are the principles which have guided the Belmonts in funeral service for three generations,” he said. “It’s a legacy of which I’m proud and which Gayle and I will always strive to maintain.”

At a time when much of the funeral industry has become bottom line oriented, they maintain that the pledge and focus of Belmont Funeral Home will always be service above all else.

“We appreciate families who place their confidence in us at a time when they need it the most,” Larry Belmont said. “Our family will help your family celebrate the life of your loved one. We’ll help you plan a celebration of your loved one that reflects his or her wishes as well as the family's wishes.”

The Belmont Funeral Home Web site provides information about funeral services, planning a funeral, coping with one’s loss and more.
