Girls bounce back on the tennis court

The Fergus Falls girls tennis team bounced back from two losses in Bemidji on Tuesday to beat Rocori 4-3 Thursday night. Coach Hal Johnson was pleased with the Otters’ effort. “It’s nice to get a hard-won victory as a team,” Coach Johnson said. “Our girls played with energy and enthusiasm, and it payed off.”
Singles:
1) Mandi Nierenhausen (R) def. Ashley Mergens (FF) 6-0, 6-0.
2) Kelly Davis (R) def. Lindsey Kimball (FF) 6-0. 6-0.
3) Steph Janson (R) def. Lizzy Wanek (FF) 6-2, 6-3.
4) Kylie Jensen (FF) def. Staci Hennen (R) 6-0, 6-2.
Doubles:
1) Cristina Masten & Karla Thole (FF) def. Bridget Eikhoff & Nikki Buerman (R)
6-4, 6-4.
2) Kaylar Neumann & Susie Schoeneck (FF) def. Reanna Phillips & Bridget Gerads (R) 7-6, 6-2.
3) Amanda Breen & Katie Schoeneck (FF) def. Michelle Heined & Kaersten Nelson 6-4, 6-2.
The Otters’ will host Sartell on Thursday.
