Mills falls to Osakis

Published Friday, September 5, 2008

The New York Mills girls tennis team lost to the visiting Osakis Silverstreaks Thursday, 6-1.

Missy Hendrick got the lone victory for the Eagles, defeating Tonya Hetland 6-3, 7-5.

“Osakis has a very solid team,” said coach Gary Bach. “We played them very close in several matches today, but came up a little short in some key matches. Our players are continuing to work hard to improve and staying positive as the season progresses. At the same time, we need to be patient at building each point and waiting for those opportunities to develop.”
