The Otter boys beat Alexandria in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday on the Stadium Field 3-0. The Otters scored five minutes into the game when Sr. Trevor Gervais sent a through ball to So. Dallas Cordahl who beat a defender and the goalie to score his second goal of the season. With fifteen minutes remaining in the half, Sr. David Sanderson scored in a scramble in front of the Alexandria goal with an assist going to Jr. Tyler Hatfield to put the Otters up 2 - 0 at the half.

The Otters continued their aggressive play in the second half and scored their final goal when Sr. Chase Kolle redirected Trevor Gervais' corner kick into the net with sixteen minutes remaining in the game. The Otters put fifteen shots on goal to the Cardinal's four shots on goal.

This physical game included four yellow cards, three on the Otters, and a red card on an Alexandria defender who was removed from the game in the final ten minutes.

Coach Lowell Carpenter said: "It's great to see continued improvement from this team. We are playing with more confidence and intensity. Our passing is improving with each game. Tonight, the defensive play of Seniors Joe Anderson and Simon Erlandson and Sophomores Daniel Ronnevik and Jacob Hexum was a key to this win."

The Otters are now 2 - 4 on the seaon and 2 - 2 in the Central Lakes Conference. Bemidji comes to town this Saturday with the JV playing at 11:00 and the varsity at 1:00 on the Middle School field.
