The Parkers Prairie volleyball team had another terrific outing last Thursday, defeating a motivated Ashby team in three games, 25-23, 25-18 and 25-20.
The Panthers are an unbeaten 9-0 on the season, and 4-0 in Little Eight Conference play.
“Ashby is a good team and they didn’t give us anything,” said coach Tanya Powers. “My girls just never give up. We chase down balls that are almost impossible to get, we outlast long rallies by staying calm and confident, and when we make a mistake we don’t let it get us down. We just continue to fight.”
Shannon Bjerketvedt had a solid night for the Panthers, recording 31 assists, 2 stuffs, 2 kills. Sari Noga added one ace and 17 kills.
“ I am so proud of how they are playing,” Powers said. “We just keep pushing and believing that we are going to win and we do.”
