Abundant Life begins “Why?” series Sept. 21

Published Friday, September 19, 2008

Abundant Life will begin a special series on Sept. 21, that explores some of life’s biggest questions. The questions being addressed for the next six weeks will be: “Why am I Here?; Why should I believe in God? Why should I trust the Bible? Why is the world so messed up? Why the conflict…Science and the Bible? and Why Jesus?

The Rev. Duane Smith will explore these themes during the 10:30 a.m. morning worship service Sunday mornings. Discussion of these questions will be held in “Why?” groups (small groups) during the week. One group will be on Saturday mornings at the church, three groups will meet on Sunday evenings in Fergus Falls and one group will meet near Ashby on Thursday evenings.

For more information about the Why? series or to attend one of the Why? groups, call the church office. 218-736-3928 or e-mail them at abunlife@prtel.com

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.
