Woman flees party, goes through window

Published Friday, September 19, 2008

An 18-year-old will be cited for underage consumption and pay restitution after crashing through a window early this morning.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. in Carlisle after Andrea Boettger fled a party she believed was going to be visited by authorities, according to a sheriff’s report. Boettger ran to a nearby residence at 27519 150th Ave., where she used a deck chair to break a double-hung window. She later told authorities she had planned to use a phone at the residence to call a relative for a ride.

A woman asleep in the home heard someone calling for help and believed it was her daughter. When she found Boettger, the woman called the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, as well as one of Boettger’s relatives.

Boettger will receive a citation for underage consumption and will pay for the damages to the window. Alcohol was a factor in the incident.
