Mail carrier injured

Published 12:12 p.m., September 22, 2008

A rural mail carrier was injured after she lost control of her vehicle along a ditch south of Henning around 2 p.m. Saturday.

The woman was traveling westbound on 215th Street about half a mile west of County Highway 65 when the accident occurred.

According to a sheriff’s report, the woman moved to the edge of the narrow gravel road as an eastbound passenger car approached. She lost control of the car as she contacted the right shoulder, and her vehicle spun out, skidded across the street and came to rest in the south ditch.

She complained of head and neck pain; Henning Ambulance and Otter Tail County Sheriff’s deputies responded.
