Blizzard warning in effect through Saturday

Fergus Falls and Otter Tail County are under a blizzard warning until noon Saturday, according to the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks.
Up to six inches of snow can be expected through the day on Friday — Christmas Day — with as much as three more inches of snow expected Friday night.
The area can expect areas of blowing and drifting snow with north winds 20 to 30 mph. Temperatures will reach a high near 30.
As of 9 a.m. Christmas Day The Minnesota Department of Transportation was reporting Difficult driving conditions On I-94 Between MN 210 at Fergus Falls and MN 78 (10 miles east of the Fergus Falls at the Ashby exit.).
"Driving conditions are difficult. Be prepared for snow. The road is slippery. Expect blowing snow. Visibility is reduced," MN/Dot said.

I-94: ROTHSAY TO FERGUS FALLS
Between Exit 15: Clay County Road 10 (6 miles west of the Barnesville area) and Exit 61 (near Fergus Falls). Driving conditions are difficult. Be prepared for snow. Look out for drifting snow on the roadway. Expect blowing snow. Look out for packed snow on the roadway. The road is slippery. Look out for icy patches.
MN 210: BRECKENRIDGE TO FERGUS FALLS
Between North Dakota State Line (near Breckenridge) and I-94 (near Fergus Falls). Driving conditions are difficult. Be prepared for snow. Look out for drifting snow on the roadway. Expect blowing snow. Look out for packed snow on the roadway. The road is slippery. Look out for icy patches.
US 59: PELICAN RAPIDS TO FERGUS FALLS
Between I-94 (1 mile south of the Elizabeth area) and Polk County Road 204 (near Winger). Driving conditions are difficult. Be prepared for snow. Look out for drifting snow on the roadway. Expect blowing snow. Look out for packed snow on the roadway. The road is slippery. Look out for icy patches.
MN 210: FERGUS FALLS TO HEWITT
Between I-94 (near Fergus Falls) and US 71 (Hewitt). Driving conditions are difficult. Be prepared for snow. Look out for drifting snow on the roadway. Expect blowing snow. Look out for packed snow on the roadway. The road is slippery. Look out for icy patches.
In North Dakota, I-29 has been closed across the entire state, reaching from the South Dakota border near Haninson north to Canada.
Statewide 498 property damage crashes had been reported in Minnesota because of the storm. There have been 82 personal injury crashes and 1 Fatality. Statewide, 1,054 vehicles have been reported driving off the road on Minnesota highways, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
