3 Otter wrestlers advance to section finals

Seven Fergus Falls wrestlers competed in the Section 8AA semifinals at Cass Lake on Friday with three winning their matches and advancing to the finals in their weight classes.
Jordan Ringquist won a decision at 145 pounds, Colton Thorson was a 6-1 winner at 215 pounds and Josh Campion pinned his opponent at 285 pounds.
Otters in the wrestle-backs beginning at noon on Saturday include Dustin Teberg (140), Matt Laugen (135), Bryant Marquedant (152) and Noah Heidorn (160).
Ryan Jacobson (189) suffered a heartbreaking semifinal loss in four overtimes and was eliminated from the tournament. Tyler Giza (103) was pinned in his semifinal match and Alex Hensch (140) lost a decision.
