Digital camera instruction offered at Thirdsday

Published Friday, January 9, 2009

Want to learn how to get the most out of that new digital camera you got for Christmas? Plan to attend The Fergus Falls Public Library’s “Going Digital” Thirdsday Program at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.

Darren Smith from from Limelite Photography, www.limelitephoto.com will teach you how to take better photos with your digital camera using camera functions such as photo exposure, composition, lighting and use of accessories.

Darren will also discuss camera maintenance and the function of various lenses and other camera options.

Bring your camera if you have one or, if you’re shopping for a camera, Darren can help you learn more about choosing the best camera for you.

Treats will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Public Library. Call 739-9387 for more information.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.

I think they spelled Thursday wrong in the article...

Waxwing069 - when was the last time you were actually at the library?
Fergus Falls Public Library started the 'Thirdsday' Program Series in October 2008. They have events scheduled each month.

Even if you never utilize the Library, a simple one-word Google search would have notified you that they intentionally spelled the program name that way.

I concede that the Daily Journal's articles are usually plagued with misspellings and run-on sentences, but they actually got it right this time!
