Leland announces new committee appointments

New Fergus Falls Mayor Hal Leland announced appointments for City Council members and city residents during the regular city council meeting Monday at City Hall.
Acting mayor for 2009 will be Greg Stumbo and Lynne Olson will continue as secretary to the city council.
Equalization committee members, for one-year terms, are Eric Shelstad, Jim Fish, Pat Connelly and JoEllen Thacker.
Chairman of the Finance, Personnel and Development Committee will be Randy Synstelien. Vice chair is Jim Fish and members are JoEllen Thacker and Eric Shelstad. Greg Stumbo is chairman of the Public Works and Safety Committee and Vice Chair is Tim Jensen. Members are Pat Connelly and the Jan. 20 replacement for Hal Leland in Ward 3.
Airport ex-officio member is Ron Burt. Community council members are Tim Jensen, Randy Synstelien, Greg Stumbo and JoEllen Thacker. Community Education member is Pat Connelly.
Convention and Visitors Bureau member is Rick Terway. Economic Improvement Commission members are Hal Leland and Randy Synstelien and Synstelien will be a Golf Board ex-officio member.
Hockey association ex-officio member is Greg Stumbo. Members of the Labor/Management panel are Randy Synstelien and Jim Fish. Legislative Committee members are Hal Leland, Mark Sievert, Greg Stumbo and JoEllen Thacker.
Ex-officio member for the Otter tail County Historical Society is JoEllen Thacker. PEG Access board member is Pat Connelly and Senior Citizens committee member is JoEllen Thacker.
Tax levy Committee members are Mark Sievert, Randy Synstelien and Hal Leland. Eric Shelstad will be a member of the West Central Initiative Economic Development Committee. Youth Activities ex-officio member is Tim Jensen.
Airport Advisory members are Lawrence Deal, Steve Rufer, Rod Scheel, Jim Lehn and Brent Nelson. Board of Zoning Adjustment members are Bob Coleman, Ken Hovland, Gary Nelson, LaWayne Rogness and Bob Batzlaff.
Members of the Heritage Preservation Commission are Debbie Irmen, Rob Rogholt, Mark Sundberg, Chris Schuelke, Roger Germann and Rebecca Petersen.
Human Rights Commission members are Bob Johnson, Nancy South, Nancy Schuelke, Richard Kagan, Cindy Skalsky and Maryjane Westra.
Library Board members are Connie Seltz, David Berg, Stephanie Pribbernow, Ned Eerdmans and Rick Schara. Park, Recreation and Forestry Board members are Tim King, Harley Oyloe, Rick Odden, Gary Holen and Gary Schuler.
Planning Commission members are Scott Schauff, Brad Howland, Wayne Hurley, Dick Young, Keith Olson, Linneae Leary and Troy Kuehl.
Public Safety Board members are Lee Rogness, Vern Johnson and Ron Burt.
