This weekend if you are looking for great shopping deals, a way to help out someone else, or a fun fitness activity, you’re in luck!
Crazy Days will take over Fergus Falls Thursday through Sunday, while Chief Wenonga Days will be the main attraction in Battle Lake.
Sunday is a great day to donate to a good cause by attending the pancake breakfast in Elizabeth, or Battle Lake.
If you’re looking to help out locally, you can donate your time and volunteer at the Hoot Lake Triathlon. Or to join in on a night of fun with a good cause, check out Putters Breast Cancer Fundraiser on Friday night.
For people wanting some more outdoor enjoyment, Battle Lake is hosting a 5K run/walk. While the Hoot Lake Triathlon will be bringing people from all across the area to Fergus Falls.
With the variety of activities going on in Fergus Falls and the surrounding areas, this is shaping up to be one crazy weekend!
Friday, July 24
Get to Know Your Fergus Falls Riverwalk, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, behind Luhman Real Estate on the corner of Lincoln and Cascade, free hot dogs and refreshments.
Huge city-wide Crazy Days deals continue with sidewalk sales and sales in the mall hallways.
MN Barrel Racing Assn. will be at the Red Horse Ranch Arena Friday through Sunday.
Putters Bar & Grill will host a Breast Cancer Fundraiser from 6-10pm. Cost is $15 which includes a night of music and free keg beer.
The “Alice in Wonderland” play will be performed in the Royal Broberg auditorium located in the Battle Lake School. The play will start at 7 pm.
Saturday, July 25
Pelican Rapids’ 21st Annual Art in the Park will be in the Sherin and Peterson Parks from 10 am to 4 pm with nearly 200 vendors.
The Farmer’s Market at the Westridge Mall will be from 10 am to 2 pm.
Crazy Days continue at the Westridge Mall and throughout the city with in-store deals and sidewalk sales.
Battle Lake will host the annual Chief Wenonga Days which includes a 5K walk and 5K run with registration at 7am and race time set for 8am.
Battle Lake and Underwood Lions Club host a Pork Chop Feed from 5-8:30 pm
The Battle Lake parade will start at 7pm with dances to follow at Stubs and the Old Brick Inn.
Sunday, July 26
Elizabeth Lions Club will be hosting a Pancake & Sausage Breakfast this Sunday from 7:30 am to 12:30 PM. The breakfast will benefit the Dough for Joe Ride along with other Lions Club Charities. The breakfast, held at the Elizabeth Community Center, will be a Free Will donation and everyone is welcome!
Battle Lake Lions Club is having a Pancake & Sausage Breakfast from 8 am-1pm at Lions Park.
The Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA will hold the 17th Annual Hoot Lake Triathlon at 8 am, starting at the Hoot Lake Public Access. To register in advance contact the YMCA at 218-739-4489. Race day registration is available, however, the race is limited to 300 participants. There will door prizes and a Grand Prize give away of a bike by Island Park Cycles worth $1500.
