Motorcyclist hits deer on 210, dies

A motorcyclist died on Highway 210 Friday afternoon after hitting a deer two miles east of Hwy. 29.
Thomas E. Turner, age 44 of Alexandria, was pronounced dead at Tri-County Hospital.
A second passenger, Joan M. Turner, 45 of Alexandria is in critical condition, according to the State Patrol.
The passengers were traveling eastbound on Hwy. 210 when the motorcycle struck a deer, throwing both passengers from the bike, according to the State Patrol.
The State Patrol received a call today at 4:50 p.m. regarding the accident. When officers arrived, both passengers were unconscious. CPR was administered to one of the passengers, according to a State Patrol spokesperson.
Both passengers were transported to Tri-County Hospital.
