100th birthday
Emelia Hovland of Pioneer Home turned 100 on April 1, 2009. She celebrated this milestone with relatives on April 4 at the Pioneer Home.
She has four sisters: Luella Theodorson and Annette Weiss, both of Pioneer Pointe, Fergus Falls; Esther Bratlien who lives on North Baird, Fergus Falls; and Evelyn Heggen of Tacoma, Wash.
Her children are Bert Hovland (Doris) of Fergus Falls, Jan Benrud (Don) of Moose Lake, Minn., and the late Marilyn (Ken) Proffitt. Emelia has nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
