Lady Otter golfers finish 11th at DL invite

DETROIT LAKES — Amber Hovland led the way for the Fergus Falls girls golf team at Detroit Country Club Monday, carding a 95 as the Lady Otters finished 11th at the Detroit Lake Invitational with a score of 458.
Staples-Motley took the top spot, shooting an impressive 345. Crookston was second with a 366, followed by Detroit Lakes (371), Bemidji (376) and Mahnomen (387).
Medalist honors went to Rachel Wold of Crookston with a 76, followed by Cydney Hasselberg of Staples-Motley with a 78.
Nikki Ellingson had the second best round for the Otters, shooting a 115. Catlyn Nygaard (123) and Morgan Shuck (125) rounded out the team scoring for Fergus Falls. Madi Houska shot a 128 and Kassie King turned in a 134 for the Otters.
