Dogs killed in Erhard fire

No one was injured in a fire that killed two dogs at an Erhard home Saturday afternoon.
The Pelican Rapids and Elizabeth fire departments and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire at 603 Fergus Ave. around 12:20 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. The fire caused moderate damage to the kitchen and severe smoke damage throughout the house.
The blaze appears to have started under the electric range in the kitchen, according to the sheriff’s office.
