Officials to discuss wind energy

The Otter Tail County Board is set to discuss wind energy when it meets Tuesday.

The board meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., following a Human Services Board meeting at 9:15 a.m. at the Government Services Center.

The commissioners are meeting with an Otter Tail Power consultant to discuss wind energy at 1 p.m.

Earlier in the meeting, at 11:05 a.m., the board is scheduled to discuss access to U.S. Department of Agriculture maps and data with the county assessor. Also during Assessor business, the board is set to discuss Green Acres letters and information.

Auditor business is scheduled to follow at 11:25 a.m., when the board is expected to receive the Board of Adjustment minutes and approve a tobacco license.

During the Otter Tail County Human Services Board, the commissioners are expected to hold a dog bite hearing at 9:30 a.m.

The board is expected to hear a request for approval for a cooperative agreement for the West Central Regional Juvenile Center during Probation business at 9:45 a.m.

The Public Health director is scheduled to update the commissioners on the pandemic flu vaccine clinics at 9:15 a.m.

The board is expected to hear about the legislative priorities from the Human Services director at 10:20 a.m.

The board is scheduled to hold a Budget Committee meeting at 11:40 a.m., followed by a Personnel Committee at 11:40 a.m. A closed meeting to discuss Otter Tail Ag Enterprises is scheduled to follow the afternoon session’s wind energy discussion. A Personnel Committee meeting is also scheduled for 8:45 a.m.
