Willprecht sentenced for identity theft

A Perham woman has been sentenced to jail time for opening credit cards in the name of someone she was hired to care for.
According to a criminal complaint, Heidi Maria Willprecht, 41, admitted to using the cards between February 2005 and October 2006 after opening them in the name of an elderly Perham woman under her care. Willprecht pleaded guilty to one count of identity theft in August as part of a plea agreement with the Otter Tail County Attorney’s Office. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail and must pay about $21,650 in restitution, as well as a $500 fine.
