Brown sentenced for sex crime

A Fergus Falls man has been sentenced to jail time on a charge of criminal sexual conduct.
Thomas Jacob Brown, 38, engaged in nonconsentual sexual contact with a victim in early April of this year, according to a criminal complaint. Brown pleaded guilty to fifth degree criminal sexual conduct in September and was sentenced Nov. 9 to 176 days in jail. Brown will receive credit for 176 days already served and must pay a $900 fine. He will be placed on probation and must register as a sex offender.
