A Perham man is facing criminal charges after tackling a woman and breaking her cell phone.
Joshua Matthew Karsnia, 22, is charged with illegal possession of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, domestic assault and interfering with an emergency call. According to a complaint, Karsnia became angry when a woman attempted to leave a Perham residence Nov. 7 and shot a tire of her vehicle. He tackled her in the yard, striking her face with his fist. Karsnia later admitted to the assault, as well as to breaking the woman’s cell phone when she tried to call a relative.
