Man falls from grain bin

A rural Perham man was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after he slipped on an icy grain bin.
Perham emergency personnel were called to 42599 County Highway 123 around 9 a.m. after a report a man had fallen off of a grain bin, a distance of about 20 feet. According to Jim Rieber of Perham EMS, the man had climbed up the outside of the grain bin, which was icy in the morning cold. He was taken to Perham Memorial Hospital for observation; his injuries were not life-threatening, Rieber said.
The man’s identity was not immediately available from Perham authorities Thursday.
