Christmas is in the air

With Christmas just around the corner, the Boy Scouts will set up for Christmas tree sales Saturday morning outside of Sunmart.

Over in Battle Lake, Christmas preparation will take off with the Holiday Extravaganza at the Battle Lake Community Center. Shortly after that, the Battle Lake High School will perform the musical,, “Footloose.”

A Center for the Arts will begin showing the film “Food, Inc.,” beginning with a 10 a.m. Saturday screening.

Friday, Nov. 20

n Battle Lake High School is putting on the musical “Footloose” at 7 p.m. in the school’s Royal Broberg Auditorium. Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for students

Saturday, Nov. 21

n The American Quarter Horse Association is hosting the Central Minnesota Team Penning at the Red Horse Ranch Arena

n A Center for the Arts will show the film, “Food, Inc.” at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m

n Battle Lake High School is putting on the musical “Footloose” at 7 p.m. in the school’s Royal Broberg Auditorium. Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for students

n The Holiday Extravaganza craft, gifts and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Battle Lake Community Center

n The Boy Scouts will set up tree stands. for their tree sale at Sunmart.

n A Center for the Arts is sponsoring the performance of the 8th Street Quartet as part of its Chamber Music Series at 4 p.m. at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center

Sunday, Nov. 22

n The American Quarter Horse Association is hosting the Central Minnesota Team Penning at the Red Horse Ranch Arena

n A Center for the Arts will show the film, “Food, Inc.” at 4 and 7 p.m. A 5:30 p.m. panel discussion about the film will be held following the 4 p.m. screening

n Battle Lake High School is putting on the musical “Footloose” at 2 p.m. in the school’s Royal Broberg Auditorium. Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for students
