Gail sentenced for marijuana found after fire

Published 07:22 a.m., November 20, 2009

A Fergus Falls man has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for marijuana found in his home following a fire.

Daniel Harry Gail, 47, was charged with two fifth degree controlled substance crimes after authorities found marijuana at his Spruce Street home in June. Gail’s home was searched after a heating lamp in a crawl space apparently started a fire at the residence, according to a criminal complaint.

Gail was sentenced Nov. 13 after pleading guilty to one of the drug charges in September. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail and a $1,000 fine for 42 grams of marijuana found in his home. The other controlled substance charge was dismissed.
