Ashby driver survives fatal head-on crash

An Ashby woman was treated and released after a head-on collision that killed one person in Stearns County Tuesday.
The accident happened in the westbound lane of Interstate 94 near Melrose around 4 p.m., according to the State Patrol. Cedar Bryan, 23, of Wildmar, Calif., was killed after her eastbound Toyota Tacoma crossed the median and collided with a westbound GMC Envoy driven by Michelle Evavold, 42, of Ashby.
Bryan was taken to hospitals in Melrose, then St. Cloud, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 7 p.m. Evavold was taken to Melrose Hospital, where she was treated and released.
