The Wilkin County Sheriff's Office is calling the death of a Doran, Minn., woman a homicide.

Preliminary autopsy results from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office indicate Lori Roberts died as a result of a gunshot wound, authorities said Monday. Roberts was found dead in her home at 1203 Street in Doran Friday.

Doran is located about 25 miles southwest of Fergus Falls.

Wilkin County authorities do not have a suspect in custody, Chief Deputy Rick Fiedler said in a news release. Roberts' daughters have told local media they believe their mother was murdered by her boyfriend.

A crime scene lab with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was working from the Roberts residence until 9 p.m. Sunday, Fiedler said. A joint investigation with the sheriff's office is ongoing.
