Boys Soccer: Hillcrest routs Walker 11-1

WALKER— The Hillcrest boys soccer team routed Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 11-1 in a Lakes to Prairie Conference affair Monday night in a steady snow fall.

Truls Jorgenson scored a hat trick for the Comets, while Simon Hammer and Carl Berge both added two goals in the Comets’ regular season finale.

Comets’ keeper Taylor Isacc lost his shutout when Walker scored with less than 30 seconds to play.

Hillcrest finished third in Lakes to Prairie Conference play this season.

The Comets (8-6-1) host Crookston Tuesday in the opening round of the Section 8A playoffs.

Hillcrest is 1-0-1 against the Pirates this season, there most recent matchup ending in a 3-3 tie back on September 29.
