Bar patron damages door

Published 11:21 a.m., October 19, 2009

A man who caused $1,500 in damage at a Bluffton bar over the weekend has agreed to pay for the repairs.

Staff with DJ’s Power House in Bluffton contacted the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office around 1 a.m. Sunday to report a glass entry door had been smashed. In reviewing security tapes, staff identified James Olson, 22, of New York Mills, who had been asked to leave the establishment after creating a disturbance. According to the sheriff’s office, the tape showed Olson smashing both of his hands into the glass door as he left.

Prior to the arrival of a deputy, Olson returned to the bar and agreed to pay for the damages.
