Stolen ATM found in field

An ATM stolen from a Fargo hotel in mid-September has been located in an Otter Tail County field.
Otter Tail County authorities located the ATM Tuesday evening in a field on 330th Street near the county line with Wilkin County. According to Sgt. Mark Lykken of the Fargo Police Department, the ATM was stolen during a burglary at Prairie Rose Inn Sept. 18. Fargo authorities received an anonymous tip that the ATM was located in the field and asked for assistance from the sheriff’s office in retrieving it.
Lykken said he did not know whether cash was in the ATM when it was located Tuesday. He did not disclose why the ATM was in the field, other than to say it was not a random location.
Richard Allen Koenig, 41, Fargo, has been in custody in connection with the burglary since Sept. 28.
