Fergus Fest among weekend music events

If you like music, head to Elks Point Saturday evening for the “Fergus Fest” Moonstar Management Showcase, featuring bands from throughout the region.
The Organ Pops Concert will also be held Saturday evening at A Center for the Arts, featuring Everett Jacobson, Harriet Wicklund, Donna Parker and Jelani Eddington. The concert will also be held Sunday afternoon.
If you need some extra energy to make it to all of Saturday’s events, fill up on a pancake fundraiser breakfast for Pioneer Retirement Community, held Saturday morning at Applebee’s.
On Sunday, Our Lady of Victory Church will hold its fall festival from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will include dinner, a bake sale, crafts and kid’s games.
Friday, Sept. 18
Talk of the Town fall fundraiser for A Center for the Arts will be held at the Bigwood Event Center
Ten Billion Beats drumming circle will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Sportman’s Shelter in Clitherall
“Myths and Legends: Stories from the State Hospital” will be begin at 5:30 p.m. Call 735-6038 to reserve a spot
The Red Horse Ranch will hold the Harvest Run Barrel Race, beginning at 8 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 19
The Organ Pops Concert featuring singers Everett Jacobson and Harriet Wicklund, along with theatre organists, Donna Parker and Jelani Eddington will begin at 7:30 p.m. at A Center for the Arts. Tickets at the door are $20 for adults, $5 for children and students.
A pancake breakfast hosted by the Pioneer Auxiliary to benefit the Pioneer Retirement Community will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s. Tickets are $4.
The “Fergus Fest” and Moonstar Management Showcase will be held from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Elks Point. The showcase will feature unsigned local bands and solo artists that have record label interest
A farmers’ market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grass near the main entrance of the WestRidge Mall parking lot
Opening Day at Lindig Farms from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 20
