Schleske earns all-conference honors

Fergus Falls’ Nicole Schleske earned all-conference honors on the vault Saturday at the Central Lakes Conference gymnastics meet at Fergus Falls.

Schleske also received all-conference honorable mention in the beam and was recocognized as an overall all-conference erecipient.

Schleske was the only Fergus Falls gymnast to earn all-conference honors.

Schleske propelled herself to all-conference status by finishing second place to St. Cloud Tech’s Mariah Miller in the vault exercise with a score of 9.375.

Schleske earned the 10th and final spot on the honorable mention team in the beam exercises as well as the 10th and final spot on the honorable mention all-around team.

The Otters’ Emma DeMartelaere finished seventh in the beam exercises with a score of 8.80, falling just behind Wilmar’s Ashley Delp’s 8.90.

Fergus Falls came in seventh place overall with a team score of 130.525. St. Cloud Tech took first place honors with a 142.525, beating out second place Brainerd’s 141.250.

Fergus Falls earned a three-way tie for the coveted Sportmanship Award, sharing the title with Alexandria and Little Falls.
