A man sustained minor injuries after his semi trailer was hit by a train Friday afternoon in Ottertail.

The driver of the semi trailer, Benjamin Andrew Keil, 28, was traveling southbound on Lake Ave. from Elevator Drive in Ottertail City when he was reported to have failed to yield at the tracks, resulting in the collision with a Canadian Pacific train. The Semi trailer was pushed 300 yards down the track before coming to a stop.

Keil was transported to Perham Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for minor bruises on his right forearm and leg.

The engineer and conductor of the train were uninjured.
