Valerie Klever

Valerie Anne Klever, 69, of Henning, died on Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at the Henning Health Care Center.

She was born in Wadena on Jan. 15, 1937, the daughter of Alvin and Bertha (Beaman) Westad. She grew up in Henning and graduated from Henning High School in 1955.

She married Marvin Klever on Sept. 17, 1955, in Henning.

She worked on the farm for several years and later held jobs at the First National Bank, Consumers Oil Co., Henning Creamery, The V-Store in Henning, 15 years at the Dorow Mink Farm at Ottertail, and 15 years at the Henning Hatchery.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, WELCA, the Red Hats, circle and church service groups. She loved visiting with friends and family, reading, quilting, watching old movies, family reunions and ball games.

Valerie is survived by her husband, Marvin; her mother, Bertha Westad of Wadena; sons: Kenneth (Kathy) Klever of Moorhead, Kevin (Lori) Klever of Henning, and Kurt (Cindi) Klever of Spicer, Minn.; daughter, Vicki (Russell) Zinter of Ellendale, N.D.; nine grandchildren; sisters, Dolly (Harold) Deckert of Buena Park, Calif., and Karen Munson of Wadena; a brother, Lance (Joy) Westad of Farmington, Minn.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation: Monday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and one hour prior to service on Tuesday
