Lena Agusta Olson, 74, of Parkers Prairie, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at her home.

She was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Leaf Mountain Township to August and Caroline (Sveback) Mickelson. She was baptized and confirmed at Leaf Mountain Lutheran Church and attended country school in Leaf Mountain Township.

Following her education she continued to live and help her family farm and milk cows in Leaf Mountain Township.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Olson on Dec. 24, 1970, in Alexandria. Following their marriage they lived in Parkers Prairie for a short time before moving north of town where she resided until the time of her death. Her husband Joe died in 1995.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, watching the television show “Survivor” and watching old-time videos of “I Love Lucy.”

She is survived by her daughter, Jody (Dennis) Larson of Vining; a stepson, Joseph (Sandy) Olson of Henning; twin sister, Clara (Arthur) Mittag of Carlos; brother, Roy Mickelson of Vining; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; sister, Ruby Hanson; and an infant brother.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m., Saturday at Leaf Mountain Lutheran Church, Leaf Mountain Township
