Beatrice Paulson, 89, Formerly of Fergus Falls, MN
Beatrice "Betty" Louise Willer Paulson, 89, formerly of Fergus Falls and Red Wing, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Augustana Nursing Home in Apple Valley.
She was born June 30, 1918, in Fergus Falls, to Carl and Ingeborg "Belle" (Boen) Willer. She grew up in Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1936. She then attended Concordia College and Luther College.
On Dec. 25, 1942, she married Orin Paulson in Fergus Falls. The couple moved to Red Wing in 1946. Orin died Dec. 7, 2000.
Betty was a member of United Lutheran Church in Red Wing where she sang in the church choir for 35 years. She was also a member of the Red Wing Singers, singing with this group for 30 years.
She was a member of the Red Wing Art Association, the Sons of Norway and the Red Wing Collectors Society. She was the former owner of the Levee and Cheese Dock at the St. James Hotel in Red Wing. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family at Ottertail Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Belle Willer; her husband, Orin Paulson; a grandson, Keith Pearson; and a sister, Lucille Wetherbee.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Allyson) Paulson of Lakeville, Kathryn (Mark) Doyle of Fargo, and Mary Paulson of Prescott, Wis.; six grandchildren, Amy (Jim) Murphy, Kip Paulson, Meghan Pearson, Erin Doyle, Jacob Paulson and Michelle Paulson; three great-grandchildren, Tatum Williams, Logan Murphy and Cade Murphy; and family friend, Trudy Paulson.
Visitation: One hour prior to service at the funeral home
Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
