Mable Pierce, 92, Formerly of Fergus Falls, MN
Mable A. Pierce, 92, of Brainerd, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Fergus Falls, to Martin S. and Molly (Peterson) Grunden. She was a 1933 graduate of Fergus Fall High School.
On June 16, 1940, she married Gordon W. Pierce on June 16,1940. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary of Fergus Falls, the Modern Squares square dance club of Fergus Falls, and Ray's Promenaders of Brainerd.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son; her brother, Walt; and her sister, Ruth.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Tollefson of Brainerd; a son, DeWayne (Margaret) Pierce of Chisago City; five grandchildren, Michelle Pierce, Brian (Diana) Pierce, Shawn (Stephanie) Pierce, Ann Burch and William Tollefson; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Burch, Emma Pierce and Jacob Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church of Brainerd — Building Fund.
Visitation: Monday from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church
