Gail Weiland, 68, Dent, MN

Gail M. Weiland, 68, of Tucson, Ariz., and Dent, died Feb. 12, 2008, following a courage fight with Bronchiectasis at Hospice Family Care of Tucson, Ariz.
Gail the daughter of John and Dorothy Moller, was born Nov. 10, 1939, in Minneapolis. She attended school a country school, moved up to and graduated from West St. Paul High School in 1957.
She then attended the University of Minnesota, and graduated with a two-year dental assistant degree.
She married James Weiland of Hastings, on Sept. 24, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eagan Township. They became the loving parents of Robin and James. They owned and operated W&W Beverage from their home in Hastings for 20 years.
In 1978, they retired and moved to a lake home on Star Lake where they spent their summers; they spent their winters at their home in Tucson, Ariz.
Gail enjoyed being at the cabin, fishing and being oared around in circles by her grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing time and laughter with her sisters and friends. She took great pride in searching out a great bargain at the swap meets, bringing her cabbage patch prizes home to tenderly clean and dress.
Gail was a member of Dent United Methodist Church and was active in the Caring Hands Quilting group and many other activities of the church. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, John; her goddaughter and niece, Dora; and two nephews, Lance and David.
Gail is survived by her husband, James of Star Lake and Tucson Ariz.; a daughter Robin (James) Mugavero, West Fargo; a son, James (Vivianna) Weiland of Montrose, Calif.; three grandsons, Dominic, Nathan and Matthew; her mother, Dorothy; and two sisters, Karen and Susie.
A memorial service was held Feb. 14, 2008 at East Lawn Palms Chapel in Tucson, Ariz.

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, at Dent United Methodist Church, Dent
Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dent
