Janette DeBauche, 67

1940 - 2008

Janette DeBauche, 67, of Battle Lake, formerly of Henning, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center.

Janette Eugenia Dowhaniuk was born in Belfield, N.D., on Oct. 15, 1940, the daughter of George and Agnes (Pavlenko) Dowhaniuk. She grew up and attended school in Dickinson, N.D.

She was married and raised five children. Janette received great pleasure from her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening, especially strawberries, and loved to dance. She found comfort in her family and her faith.

Janette is survived by her children, Douglas (Bobbi) Metz, Scottsdale, Ariz., John “Bud” DeBauche Jr. and Angela (Keith) Eckhoff, all of Henning, Andrea (Steven) Takasu, Kailua, Hawaii, and Amy (Eric) Severson, Henning; grandchildren, Bradley and Alexa Metz, Jordan and Brandon DeBauche, Austin, Sydney, Natalie, Gretchen Eckhoff, and Ethan and Emma Severson; brothers, Frank (Agnes) Dowhaniuk, Dickinson, N.D., Mike (Claudia) Dowhaniuk, El Paso, Texas, and Max Dowhaniuk, Elsworth, Wis.; a sister, Alice (Ralph) Roshau, Dickinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Anton, Alex, and Harry; and an infant sister and brother.

Visitation: Today from 5 to 7 p.m., with a parish vigil at 7 p.m., at the church

Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Henning
