Kyle Marple, 37
Kyle Marple, 37, of Fargo, formerly of Wendell, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Innovis Hospital in Fargo.
Kyle Matthew Marple was born June 5, 1970, in Fergus Falls, to Russ and Gloria (Koziol) Marple. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf’’s Catholic Church in Elbow Lake. He attended Elbow Lake-Wendell School and graduated in 1988.
He furthered his education by attending Alexandria Tech School for fluid power technology, graduating in 1990. Kyle also attended one year at Moorhead State University for manufacturing engineering.
Kyle had many occupations which allowed him to travel throughout the United States. In the fall of 1991, he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where he worked for Paul Monroe Engineering and traveled to Quito, Equador, and worked in the oil fields.
His other occupations took him to Houston, Texas, where he worked on oil rigs, truck driving, custom combining and insurance sales. Kyle recently worked as a dispatcher for the Red River Regional Dispatch Center in Fargo. He worked there for 14 months and was recently accepted into the Fargo Police Academy.
Kyle’s true passion was sky diving with his friends, but he also enjoyed music, motorcycling, playing pool, poker and softball.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Loretta Koziol, and Max and Hazel Marple; and an aunt and uncle, Gleo and Alvena (Koziol) Swenson.
Survivors include his parents, Russell and Gloria Marple of Wendell; two brothers, Russell M. (Melea) Marple of Breckenridge and Curtis Marple of Buffalo; three sisters, Julie (Jim) Dehn of Moorhead, Jean Marple of Chaska and June (Rich) Pland of Sacramento, Calif.; nieces, Jennifer Marple, Brooke Pland, Alexis Pland, Jillian Pland; a nephew, Garrett Marple; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation: Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church, and one hour prior to the service
Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Elbow Lake
