Ellen Kalkofen, 90, Antigo, WI
Ellen Kalkofen, 90, of Antigo, Wis., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
Ellen was born March 10, 1917, in Fergus Falls, to the late Gustave and Mary (Mohs) Schroeder. Following business college, Ellen moved to San Diego, Calif., where she met her husband, Clarence.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, and was very active in the Dorcas Society for decades. She also served as an officer in the High School Band Parents Association.
Ellen leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Clarence; son, Jim (Marsha) of Brainerd; daughter Kay (Bruce) of Jacksonville, Fla.; son Tom (Diane) of Post Lake; seven grandchildren, Erica Kalkofen of Grandby Lake, Colo., Nathan (fiancé Ashlie) Kalkofen of Minneapolis, Kellie Johnson of Atlanta, Ga., Erik Johnson of Austin, Texas, Joy Kalkofen of Madison, Ann Kalkofen of Madison, and Jill (Scott) of Elgin, Ill.; and two sisters, Sophy Hauschild of Wahpeton, N.D., and Lucille Perkins of Issaquah, Wash.
