Anna Barker, 70, Wadena, MN

Anna Barker, 70, of Wadena, died Thursday Jan. 10, 2008, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.

Anna Mae Barker was born Oct. 30, 1937, the daughter of Orlin and Louise (Leesburg) Barker.

In 1946, Anna became a resident of Faribault State Hospital, then of Cambridge State Hospital and Brainerd State Hospital prior to her transfer to the Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center on Nov. 5, 1970.

She remained at the Fergus Falls Regional Treatment Center until Feb. 4, 1985, when she began receiving Waivered Services; Supervised Living Services from Prairie Community Services at Kooda Home and DT&H services from Stevens County DAC.

Anna moved to Hoffman Home, also operated by Prairie Community Services.

On June 26, 2000, she moved to Shady Lane Nursing Home in Wadena, That facility is now known a Fair Oaks Lodge.

Anna is survived by her sisters, Harriet Ruthledge, Canoga Park, Calif.; Josephine Price of Deer Creek; and brothers, Donald Barker, Big Lake, Rodger Barker, Hewitt, and Jerry Barker, Deer Creek.

Service: was at 11 today, at the United Methodist Church, Henning
