Leila Miller

Leila (Gronner) Miller, 91, of Lansing, Mich., died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, in Lansing.
She was born April 19, 1916, in Underwood, the first child of Knute and Alma Myrbo. She married Herbert J. Gronner in 1937, and they later moved to Lansing.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway, the former Rural Missionary Society, and the Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
Leila was an excellent seamstress and also loved to read, play bridge, travel and entertain her friends. She cherished family and long-term friendships and will be remembered for her kindness, wit and vitality.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Herbert (1977); and her second husband, Herbert J. Miller (1992); a son, Steven Gronner; a step-son, Doug Miller; a grandson, Steven DeMott; and siblings, Warren, Verna and Russell.
She is survived by her brother, Calvin (Thelma) Myrbo; a son, Dave (Cindy) Gronner; a daughter, Mary (Mike) DeMott; grandchildren; Erik Gronner, Kris (Dallas) Cleveland and Eva Narvaez; four great-grandchildren; the devoted family of Herbert Miller, Karol (Jerry) Breen, Steven (Kathy) Miller, Diane Miller and special friends, Doug and Marsha Pfister, Judith St. King and Anne McEvoy.
A service of remembrance was Jan. 28, at Tiffany Funeral Home in Lansing, and memorial service was Jan. 29, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a donation of time or money is requested to the donor’s charity of choice, or Eastminster Church in Leila’s memory.
