John T. Young, 69

John T. Young, 69, of Lakeview, Ark., formerly of Gillette, Wyo., died Friday, April 25, 2008, at his residence. A private service and burial is planned.

He was born Sept. 16, 1938 in Wadena, to Walter and Edna Young. John was a U.S. Air Force veteran and after serving his country, was a roughneck for Exeter Drilling Co. in Wyoming.

He married Jerri Lynn Eskew June 27, 1964, in Gillette and together they celebrated nearly 44 years of marriage.

He and Jerri moved to Arkansas in March 1995 to enjoy retirement and the Ozarks.

John used to enjoy fishing, but his greatest passion was gardening. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Young Jr.; one daughter, Laura Young; and one brother, Larry Young.

Survivors include his wife, Jerri L. Young of Lakeview; a son, Larry (Kandi) Young of Gillette; a daughter, Debbie (Jimmy) Tidmore of Sioux City, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Kirstein Hoese of St. Cloud.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Twin Lakes Cremation Society and Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
